Sew Sophie, what happened this month?

I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way, but March just flew by! Like where did the time go? I can't believe I'm writing another one of these posts again.

AG News
Not sure if I'm the only one, but I feel like nothing big happened AG wise this month. Like last month was so huge last there way really no way to top it this month.
I did go to the AGP this month. I hadn't seen Tenney or Logan (and Gabriela for that matter), so I was excited to check it out. I did take a few pictures that you can view here.

So I only released one pattern this month. Not to make excuses or anything, but the software I normally use decided to hate me this month! Like it would take hours to load, or just not work at all! So, I'm currently on the hunt for a more reliable program. I'm not sure how many patterns I will release in April, but I'm going to do my best. I'd like to release the pom pom shorts pattern and maybe a skirt?
I've been doing a bit of other sewin…

March's PAGR Fan Fashion

This month's fan fashion's were sew cute!
From: Reverie Dolls Ahh! I adore these! The fabric of the dress is so pretty! You did a great job sewing these Victoria!

From: Smile and Craft AG
I love this too! The fabric is so pretty and Gracie you did a great job sewing it!
From: @mia.kate.andco I love that she turned this into a tunic (even though she said it was accidental!), but I still think it looks adorable!
That's all we have for this month. If you'd like to be featured in April, send me your entries by April 28th. You can use #pagrfanfashion on IG, email me, or even just make a blog post (but be sure to tell me that you did).

Seven Way to Wear... A SAVVY SWING DRESS!!

This month I'm showing you seven different ways to wear my Savvy Swing Dress pattern.

Day 1 Of course the easiest way to wear the Savvy Swing Dress is to just wear it! Add a simple headband or jacket, and you've got a great outfit.
Day 2 Another simple way to wear the dress is with a skirt. I chose this floral maxi skirt with a bow, but any skirt would look cute!
Day 3  Adding shirt on top of the dress adds a great layered look. The color blocking idea is very in, and a sweater would look great for winter.
Day 4 This pinafore from a dolly_d3lights video is super cute! Kennedy looks like a minion, but she's okay with that!
Day 5   Likewise, you can also wear it with a romper. There will be a bit of bulk in the back (cough cough permapanties cough cough), but just don't look back there.
Day 6 You could also wear it with a cute pair of shorts. I would recommend some high waisted shorts for this outfit combo.
Day 7 Okay, I'm kind of in love with this. I turned it into a cu…

Sewing Tips & Tricks

Lots of people lately are learning how to sew, which is amazing! Some people have asked me for tips and tricks, so here you go.

Start out on a quilting cotton. Easiest fabric to work on.Top stitching looks professional, but too much top stitching is too much.Iron when possible. Iron on a lower setting to prevent burning fabric. You don't need a super expensive machine to make great things. Like you don't need a serger/ overlocker to start sewing. If you want to sell the clothes, yes, you should probably have one. If you are just sewing for yourself, you don’t need one. Always double check to the threading of the machine. CLEAN YOUR MACHINE! This will help to prevent some of the dreaded “THE MACHINE ATE MY FABRIC!!” that seems to happen all too often.Start simple. Don’t try something that has multiple pieces, or multiple steps you don’t know how to perform. Watch videos, read blogs, and even take a class! Make things you want to make! It doesn’t make you more creative to sew so…

More Savvy Swing Dresses

So, I've sewing a lot lately (shocker!) and I've sewn some more Savvy Swing Dresses.

The first one uses this cute floral knit that I found at Joanns. I also used the u neck option on the Savvy Swing Dress.

Here is a variation I made of the pattern to recreate Kit's Play Dress. I added a lot to the dress, so this probably isn't the easiest thing to make. I could make this pattern, but I'm afraid it would be really complex to create.
This dress was created with the same pattern variation as the Kit's Play Dress remake. I just omitted the top bow part, sleeves and back pleats (which I made on the Kit dress!)

Here's a Savvy shirt I made by cutting the skirt part off the pattern. I also made this from a sweater knit, but I wouldn't really recommend it. It frays easy, and it was a pain to sew.  Also would you guys be interested in the pattern for these shorts? Let me know!

It's my birthday! 🎉🎉

Today is my birthday! So I thought I'd show you the big thing I received. I'm so grateful for everything, and my mom did a great job picking it out.

So I got a camera! I was totally surprised with a Sony A6000. I took some pictures this afternoon that I'd like to show you.

Check more out here!
This was all a learning experience and the first time I ever took photos with a camera. I'm pretty surprised at how good some came out!
Also throwing a little reminder at the end here that photos for PAGR Fan Fashion are due by the 29th. Can't wait to see your creations!

Teagan Top Pattern

The newest PAGR pattern is here!
You can find the Teagan Top Pattern here. As always, if you make it, I'd love to see it.

So this is something I'd didn't think I'd be sharing, but it cracks me up. 12 year old me had to much time making these and sending them to her friend who was probably no longer into dolls. She probably thought it was weird that I made these! It okay because almost 15 year old me (My birthday is pretty soon!) has zero idea why she made these. Im thankful that I'm posting them on the internet now and not 3 years ago. I wasn't quite sure which one to show you, as they all confuse me so much.
But alas, I present to you the
Abby Show

What do you think? I promise their are some other great ones I can't wait to share. Also, don't waste your time watching the whole thing! Spoiler it's really cringy!
